My Story
Paul D. Greenwood is a seasoned Professional Engineer with a proven track record of over twenty-one years in executive coordination, leadership, and comprehensive project management. His career highlights include significant roles in diverse sectors such as nuclear facilities, industrial process, and higher education. Paul holds a Government Q Clearance and has demonstrated expertise in energy analysis, industrial heat-transfer, power generation, HVAC systems, and renewable energy technologies.
​His leadership at Intermountain Packing involved successfully overseeing the automation and control of beef and bison production in a state-of-the-art facility, managing a team of twelve while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.​
At Idaho National Laboratory, Paul served as a Senior Technical Advisor and played a pivotal role in campus planning and the SUFO Net-Zero Initiative. He led the development and maintenance of the Campus Master Plan, guiding multimillion-dollar projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability. Paul's strategic insights were instrumental in initiating over 30 energy and carbon reduction projects and implementing innovative approaches to achieve net-zero utility operations. His tenure as Director of Utilities Engineering & Maintenance at Brigham Young University further underscored his capabilities, where he managed projects averaging $20 million-$120 million annually, including the design and installation of a 16.3 MWh Co-Generation Facility and significant high-voltage infrastructure improvements.
​Paul's career is characterized by a commitment to excellence and innovation, evident in his tenure at Nexant Inc. and Sunrise Engineering Consultants Inc., where he excelled as a Project Manager and Mechanical Engineer, respectively. His educational background includes a Master's in Public Administration from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah. Fluent in Spanish and deeply engaged in community service, Paul's leadership and technical prowess continue to drive impactful advancements in engineering and sustainability across various sectors.
